About SmartPaws UK
Who runs SmartPaws UK, how we choose the gadgets we recommend, and how the site is funded.
What we do
SmartPaws UK publishes plain-English buyer's guides to smart pet tech. We cover GPS trackers, smart tags, pet cameras, automatic feeders, microchip cat flaps, water fountains, self-cleaning litter boxes and robot vacuums for UK dog and cat owners. Our aim is simple: help you buy the right gadget once, and avoid surprise subscription costs.
How we choose
For every guide we research the products sold in the UK and compare their specifications and features. We also read the subscription terms and running costs, and look at patterns in owner feedback from UK retailers. Where we have used a product ourselves, we say so in the guide. We update guides when products, prices or plans change, and every guide shows the date it was last updated.
We are not vets. For health and behaviour concerns, please speak to your vet or a qualified behaviourist.
